HTML5 guidelines

In order to add HTML5 banners to Adcrowd your HTML5 advertisements need to satisfy the following guidelines.

 

File type

  • .zip
  • .html
  • .htm

Zip file

  • Contains all the files (such as images) that are referred to in the HTML document.
  • Contains exactly 1 html file.
  • All files are contained in the root folder, so contains no sub-directories.
  • May contain the following file types:
    • .HTML, .HTM
    • .CSS
    • .JS
    • .SVG
    • .JPG
    • .JPEG
    • .GIF
    • .PNG
  • Contains a maximum of 10 files.
  • No references to files at an external location, with the exception of the 'Supported libraries'

HTML file

  • Contains the <html> and <body>tags.

clickTag

  • Every outgoing link from the HTML banner must contain the 'clickTag', for example:

<div id="clickArea" style="width: 300px; height: 250px" onclick="window.open(clickTag ,'_blank');">

  • When writing clickTag be aware that it is case sensitive.
  • Note: if you have used Swiffy to convert Flash banners that work properly then you do not need to make any changes to the clickTag.
  • You add the URL of the landing page within the Adcrowd platform.

Maximum file sizes

  • HTML: 150 kb
  • ZIP: 150kb for the unpacked files all together
